IASA or International Airline Service Assistance was created by the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in 1994, to meet the demands and the challenge of increasing globalization of the marine and offshore crew travel markets. It started as a subsidiary of IAS Europe Ltd that provides service in the UK on behalf of KLM. With the expansion of marine travel agents in other European territories, the company has also expanded its market to include services in America and Asia. Carriers currently represented by IASA Philippines included Air France, Aeroflot Russian Airlines, Japan Airlines, Delta, Kenya Airlines, AeroMexico, KLM, Asiana Airlines, Malaysia Airline and Etihad Airways among others.

IASA Philippines is the Asian subsidiary or branch of the International Airline Service Assistance that primarily provides marine and offshore reservation. It works in tandem with the reservation centers in London (IAS Europe), Houston (IASAmerica), to provides a 24/7 service to marine and offshore travel agents globally. This means that IASA works in the Philippines work in regular daytime hours. Outside these regular hours, all calls to Marine and Offshore Reservations department are automatically re-directed to IAS Americas (Houston) or IAS Europe (London).

IASA Philippines also provides Airline Customer and Trade Support Services that specialize in sales, reservations and accounting. It has unique technological solutions to handle the demands of different airlines, multiple reservation systems, and agent bespoke requirements.
