Healthy Lifestyle for Call Center Agents

Working in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Company can be stressful to one’s health especially because of its irregular working hours and the graveyard Shift, which disrupts a person’s normal day-life. This makes workers in call centers constantly exposed to high stress situations. Following are tips to promote a healthy lifestyle for call center agents.

Get enough sleep. the only way to get enough sleep is to learn to adjust sleeping habits. Help make one’s room conducive to sleep so that one can sleep in day for 6-8 hours. Meanwhile, sleeping in the day also means adjusting everything else including eating habits and daily life activities.

Eat healthy food. By healthy food, this essentially means eating high fibre food life fruits and vegetables and avoiding junk food such as fast food and snacks.

Drink plenty of water. Drinking plenty of water is healthy because 70% of our bodies is made up of water. Drinking plenty of water means replacing and cleansing 70% of our bodies all the time.

Exercise. Schedule your exercise like jogging or doing work outs after rest or sleeping hours. This is usually between 5 – 8 PM. A short 30 minute daily exercise would suffice. Exercise need not be strenuous but what is important is one sweats and stretches the body.

Avoid vices. Avoid liquor and smoking. Vices don’t help on anything. It only makes our bodies suffer more stress and physical deterioration.

Get a break. By break, this can be done by going out with friends, having a vacation, playing, visiting places, reading books, watching TV or cinema, listening to music and getting entertained. “All work and no play make’s Jack a dull boy.” One needs to get time off work.
